How can I find my purpose?

This audio answers the question: How can I find my purpose?

The first thing to look at here is whether or not you believe in determinism. We have observed that many people think their purpose is written somewhere inside of them, and is unchangeable. In our experience we came to see that your purpose isn’t just pre-determined. It is largely something that you craft over the course of time, and that can change when you evolve.

So how can we approach the question of purpose?
On one level, it is very simple. If you look at every moment in time, your purpose is to be alive, to be present, to fully live this miraculous embodiment of who you are.

Viewed across time, your purpose has a lot to do with growing and developing. Independently of your uniqueness, your purpose is to develop as long as you are alive. This means to challenge yourself again and again at your growth edge to find the next level of expansion in who you are. Whenever you reach a new level, it is important to recognize and let go of limiting beliefs about your purpose and your role in life, to be able to transcend and include the integration you've reached so far.

Then there is an aspect of your purpose that is related to your uniqueness, that we could call your soul’s work, where you have to master very unique challenges in this lifetime. And that's what we can distill from your BODYGRAPH and GOLDENPATH Evaluations in some sense. You can think about your personal imprint as cornerstones, as key elements or key themes of your unique journey of mastery.

To unlock the unique aspect of your purpose, you learn to grasp and to fully embody these key themes in your life. Eventually the competencies that you develop in this process of mastery open and hold a space in with your purpose unfolds naturally. We have found that when you dive deeply into your personal set of Gene Keys, it truly supports this process.

To give you a metaphor, you can think of your imprint - as it is displayed in your BODYGRAPH and GOLDENPATH - in a new way. You can imagine the elements of your imprint as columns in a loft, or in a big hall, or something like that. As you find your masterful relationship to each of these key elements, they become kind of columns holding up a wide space in which you unfold your potential and find the purpose that's really unique to you.

Concretely when we work with people on the question of their purpose, we look at least at three elements. One is the Activation Sequence, which contains the positions of the black Sun and Earth and the red Sun and Earth in the Bodygraph, and has been called the Incarnation Cross in the Human Design System. The second element is the Venus Sequence with a strong emphasis on the Vocation, and the third element is the Pearl Sequence. There might be more to include, but overall these are the elements through which we can really grasp this process of mastery that's your path to finding your unique purpose.

Beyond the specific themes of your unique purpose, the sense of purpose that you long for so deeply, it always has to do with a true integration of body emotion mind soul and spirit. And when this integration has reached a certain fullness, purpose plays out in some sort of contribution to life, or giving back to life, some sort of service, or love, not in a romantic way, but love in the sense of connectedness to something that's bigger than you.

This sense of purpose is most deeply experienced when all the elements of your imprint merge in your unique and specific contribution, in your unique expression of love.

Take care!

With love,
